Where the Money Goes
Most of the revenue we receive from Rensselaerville Meeting Center clients and guests, of course, goes to provide the goods and services you enjoy here. The use of net profit, however, may interest you.
The Meeting Center is owned and operated by the not-for-profit educational organization, The Rensselaerville Institute. All net proceeds are used to support The Institute’s human gain programs. For example, money is allocated to fund our self-help water system projects in low-income areas along the southern Texas border where one in three children gets hepatitis by age 10 because they lack running water.
Other programs that benefit from these revenues include the participation of poor and failing schools in programs such as School Turnaround, where we work intensively with principals, using business and educational turnaround strategies to set and hit high achievement targets in just one year. (For further information about this program, go to www.schoolturnaround.org.)
Please know that your meetings and social functions at Rensselaerville Meeting Center help make these critical programs possible.
